the more and more I see of collaborative dessert bars (various guests contribute to the dessert options for the wedding), the more and more I like it.

think about it.

it's a way for guests and family members to be involved if they want.

that portion of the meal becomes a much more personal thing.

gives the chance for the bakers of the family(s) to show off their mad skills.

there is variety for those who aren't so keen on cake (though I have yet to meet such a person)

and it saves a bit of money and hassle for the couple.

to sum up: it rocks.
